Then, carefully thread the worm up the hook shank until it reaches the weed guard/hook eye. Next, gently pull the worm’s head forward and press the jig head down into the plastic bait’s head. This will secure the bait and maximize its gliding motion. Remember to keep the bait aligned with the hook shank for optimal results.

Optimal bait options for the Hover Rig include flat-bottomed and straight-tailed plastic baits, which allow for maximum gliding motion. Baits with flapper appendages are not recommended as they can hinder gliding motion.
